A Deatsville man is being held in the Elmore County Jail on a $5,000 bond after being arrested and charged with impersonating a police officer.
Caleb Williams Phillips, 25, of 1788 Alpine Drive in Deatsville was arrested Monday at Target in Prattville by a Prattville police officer.
Around 10:51 a.m. Monday Williams was observed inside the Target wearing a ballistic vest on the outside of his shirt by store security.
He was also wearing a holster with a BB gun in it.
He was also in possession of an Autauga County Sheriff’s Department badge on his belt.
This is the second time in two months that Prattville police have arrested a person impersonating a police officer.
Douglas Sterling Newton, 42, was arrested on Feb. 22 also at Target.
