Pat was born on Aug. 14, 1937, in Wetumpka where she resided most of her life.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Bessie Brand. Pat was married in 1958 and gave birth to her five children: Marce Fuller (Lee deOvies) of Sarasota, Fla., Tracy (Hank) Pitts of Wetumpka, Travis (Anita) Fuller of Annandale, Va., Lance (Wyma Law) and Brandon (April Arnold) Fuller both of Wetumpka, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pat worked all of her life until she retired 10 years ago.
She began her working life as a teller at Union Bank and later at Citizen’s Bank. She retired as Chief Clerk of the Elmore County Sheriff’s Department in 2004 after 15 years of dedicated service.
Pat enjoyed reading, music, the beach, traveling, cheesecake, butterflies, shoes and most importantly; her five children.
She taught her children one final very important life lesson – how to battle a horrible disease with beauty and grace — and how to go out in style.
Pat was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed, however, her precious memories will forever remain in our hearts. Her family wishes to send a special thank you to her wonderful caregivers: her best friend, Laynie Hounchell and Provetta Walker and Deborah Freed.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Tracy Pitts, 2070 Pleasant Hill Rd, Wetumpka, AL 36092 or to the Alzheimer’s Organization (alz.org).
