Marie Anne Angela Godbout, 74, a resident of Wetumpka, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013.
Mrs. Godbout was born and raised in Nashua, N.H., and following her husband’s retirement from the Army they settled in Montgomery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice W. Godbout, her parents, Paul and Julien Dube and a daughter, Donna Godbout.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. May 23 at Prattville Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bill McFarland officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.
Mrs. Godbout was of the Catholic faith. She loved music and had a diverse collection. Her animals, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life.
She would be sure and attend family functions as long as there was “Tracy’s” pear salad and dressing.
She loved to laugh and had a real big heart. Through the years, she sponsored many children from various countries.
She is survived by five daughters, Debra M. (late Brent) Davis, Maureen (Bryan) Headley, Lisa Rodrigues, Pauline Churchwell and Tracy Parker; son, Michael (Kathy) Godbout; brother, Paul M. (Denise) Dube; six sisters, Claire Fowler, Gloria Catazano, Denise (Norman) Roberts, Connie Brown, Pauline (Norman) Letourneau and Teresa (Rick) Migneault; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. May 22 at the funeral home.
