Thomas Atcheson “Tommy” Scarbrough, 62, a resident of Deatsville passed away at his home on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. June 18 in the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with the Rev. Neal Hodo, the Rev. Shane Russell, Brother Jeff Helms and Chaplain Rock Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens with Brookside Funeral Home directing.
Tommy was a member of Union Congregational Church and member of the Forever Young Group. He was also retired from the City of Millbrook as street department supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sid & Bell Scarbrough, sister, Judy Emfinger, brothers, Jack, Wayne and Bill Scarbrough.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Alice Scarbrough, children, Stella (Don) Massey, Susanne (Lance) Majors, Diane (Chris) Motes, Tony (Cassidy) Scarbrough, sisters Mary (Jimmy) Edwards, Ann (Danny) Martin, brother-in-law, Jim Lewis, grandchildren, Erica (LaVaughn) Stoddard, D.J. (Melissa) Massey, Chris (Brooke) Massey, Josh Majors, Brittany Majors, Corey (Paige) Majors, Brady Motes and Aadon Motes, great grandchildren, Taylor Grace Stoddard, Caydon Massey, Carley Majors, Cheyenne Majors, Crimson Majors, Hope Lynn Majors and Brantley Majors and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that all had a special place in his heart.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. June 17 at the funeral home.
