Mrs. Mildred “Millie” Reynolds, 89, a loving wife, mother, friend and resident of Red Hill, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born March 8, 1924.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Aug. 16 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Aug. 17 at Refuge Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Steve Scarborough officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Vernon Reynolds Sr.; children, Cheryl Edmonds (Vernon), Vernon Reynolds Jr., Robin Hardy (A.J.), Wesley Reynolds (Paula) and Jan Smith (Paul); brother, Charles Kenneth Young (Beverly); grandchildren, Nancy Caukin, James Reynolds, Emily Reynolds, Luke Reynolds, Cory Edmonds, Casey Bradley, Andrew Pinney and Amanda Smith; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her father, Delos Young; mother, Audrey Young and brother, D. A. Young Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Refuge Baptist Church, 3098 Red Hill Rd, Tallassee, AL 36078.
The family extends thanks to her many friends in Montgomery, Red Hill and Refuge Baptist Church for their support and prayers.
