Mr. Clinton W. Barrett, a resident of Wetumpka, passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at the age of 90.
The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Sept. 25 at First Baptist Church.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. James Troglen and the Rev. Earl Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Hebron West Baptist Church Cemetery in Elmore.
Mr. Barrett is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Mike Stough; grandchildren, Catherine (Dan) Barlow and Michael (Katherine) Stough; great grandchildren, Parker Stough, Maddie Stough, and Cate Barlow; sister, Lena Mae Walker; brothers, Curtis (Janet) Barrett and Nealy (Betty) Barrett.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1988, Jeanette Edwards Barrett; parents, Isaac Harvey Barrett and Susan Ellena Harris Barrett; brothers, William “Bill” H. Barrett, Cloyce E. Barrett, J. Lanoid Barrett, Bernard D. Barrett, Cecil R. Barrett and Jasper “Jack” M. Barrett.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Walker, Ray Barrett, Bobby Barrett, Kenny Barrett, Richard Barrett, and Nealy Barrett Jr.
In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to First Baptist Church, Family Life Center Building Fund, 205 W. Bridge St., Wetumpka, AL 36092.
Mr. Barrett retired from Alabama Power Company after 44 years of service. After retirement he was involved in the Alabama Power Company Energizers.
Mr. Barrett served two terms on the Wetumpka City Council was active in the Wetumpka Exchange Club and the Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce for many years.
