Claud Independent Methodist Church will hold a revival Oct. 13-16 with Rev. Paul Brown.

 

First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will host its House of Holidays bazaar Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 

•Central Alabama Southern Gospel Music Association (CASGMA) will hold its annual convention and awards show Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. at Coosada Baptist Church on Kennedy Avenue in Coosada. CASGMA artists will perform that night along with special guest Janelle Woodard from Millbrook. There is no admission charge and everyone is welcome to come enjoy a great night of gospel music. Balm of Gilead Church, 5187 Bam Road in Wetumpka, will hold Homecoming Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. Guest singers will be Joe and Pat Yearwood. Joe Yearwood wll bring the morning message. The service will be followed by a covered dish lunch. Everyone is welcome.

 

Wetumpka Church of Christ will hold Friends and Family Day Oct. 13. The program will be “The Family as a System” with Dr. William Battles, Christian Behavioral Education and Research. Battles lives in Douglasville, Ga. and is a retired medical doctor and licensed psychiatrist.Topics: “The Functional Family,” ”Raising Faithful Children and the Joy of Godly Parenting” and “The Successful Servant.” Bible Class                             is at 9 a.m., morning worship at 10 a.m., congregational luncheon     at 11 a.m. and evening worship at 1 p.m.

 

Grace Baptist Church will host a revival meeting Oct. 13-18. Sunday School is at 10 a.m. and Sunday services will begin at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Week night services will begin at 7 p.m. each day. Guest preachers will be Pastor Craig Holmes and Pastor Tommy Carlisle. There will also be special singing by the McCormick family. A nursery is provided for all services.

 

Providence Primitive Baptist Church in Kent will holds its Fall Meeting Oct. 17-18 at 7 p.m. each day. Homecoming will be Oct. 20 at 10:30 a.m. with lunch in the annex following the morning service. There will be no Sunday night service that day. Elder Mike Newman of Metter Church, Metter, Ga. will be the guest speaker.

 

•The Elmore Baptist Association will celebrate its 100th anniversary Oct. 20 at First Baptist Church of Wetumpka. The business meeting will be at 4:30 p.m., followed by supper/fellowship at 5:30 p.m. and celebration and worship at 6:30 p.m.

First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will host its Fall Festival, Hallow Him, on Oct. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church. The free event will include popcorn, hot dogs and hamburgers, cotton candy, duck pond, go fish, face painting, inflatable bounce house, bottle ring toss, costume contest and more. The annual FUMC Youth Boston Butt Sale will also begin Oct. 27. Butts are $30 each and pick up will be Dec. 7. All funds will go toward youth programming and missions.

 

Bethel Worship Center in Wetumpka will host its annual Trunk or Treat Fall Fest Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. There will be free hot dogs and drinks for the whole family. Candy and prize drawings for sixth grade and younger with the grand prize for kids being an iPad Mini. There will also be an adult prize drawing for seventh grade and older. •The fourth annual Musical Salute to Veterans will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wetumpka on Nov. 11. Everyone is invited, particularly veterans. •HorsePlay Drill Team has planned a special drama presentation and lunch Nov. 17 after Brush Poppers Cowboy Church service at Iron Horse Ranch, 3214 Weoka Rd., Wetumpka.

 

•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).
