Cedarwood Community Church will hold its monthly Camp Stew and Indoor Yard Sale Nov. 2 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stew is $8 for a large microwaveable container. Yard sale space available indoors or outside. Vendors welcome. All proceeds from stew sale and yard sale go to help complete the inside of church building. First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka will host a fundraiser to benefit People That Care Nov. 3 at 5 p.m. The event will be an authentic Mexican meal. Call the church at 334-567-7865 by Oct. 29 to sign up.

 

Redland Hills Church is a new church is being born in the Redland community. There will be an informational meeting Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. at the Emerald Mountain clubhouse. Everyone is invited to hear the specifics about the vision and upcoming plans.

 

Hillside Baptist Church will hold its Fall Festival Nov. 3 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the church. There will be games, food and all kinds of fun.

 

New Freedom Ministries in Montgomery will celebrate the church’s anniversary Nov. 5-10. Services will be 7:30 each night and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

 

Central, Union and Pierce Chapel United Methodist Churches will have fall revival services Nov. 10 at Pierce Chapel UMC. David Larch of the Larch Family will lead the morning service which starts at 11 a.m. There will be a fellowship meal after the morning service. The evening service will start at 4:30 p.m. Rev. Presley Cousins of Plantersville UMC will lead the evening service. The gospel group Branded for Christ will sing at both services. Everyone welcome.

 

Lake Elam Missionary Baptist Church, 3268 Wm. Ashley Drive in Millbrook, will host the Voices of Eden Gospel Choir of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte live in concert, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. The evening will also feature the Booker T. Washington Magnet High School. A free-will offering will be accepted.

 

Seman Congregational Christian Church, 15970 Central Plank Road, will hold revival Nov. 10-15. Service times will be Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. and Nov. 11-15 at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited.

 

•The fourth annual Musical Salute to Veterans will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wetumpka on Nov. 11. Everyone is invited, particularly veterans. Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church will take applications for Christmas boxes Nov. 11-14, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The church is located at 96 Lightwood Road, Deatsville in the Holtville/Slapout community. To be eligible, apploicants must live in the Holtville school district. Proof of all income, expenses and a Social Security number is required for each family member. Only children 12 and younger will be eligible for the Angel Tree. •HorsePlay Drill Team has planned a special drama presentation and lunch Nov. 17 after Brush Poppers Cowboy Church service at Iron Horse Ranch, 3214 Weoka Rd., Wetumpka.

 

•The Episcopal Church Women of St. John’s Episcopal Church will present its bazaar Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bazaar will be held in the education building of the church at 113 Madison Ave. in downtown Montgomery. This year’s shops will include a well-stocked pantry full of homemade goods; the Treasure Attic with preowned goods including books, toys, housewares, artwork and more; the Handmade Room with crafts, unique gifts and holiday items; the Garden Shop filled with plants, pots and ornamental yard and garden items; Fine Arts with paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints, folk art, etc.; and the Silent Auction of donated antiques, silver, crystal and decorative wares. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church Parish Hall. The bazaar is free and open to the public. Tickets for the luncheon are $10 each and may be purchased in advance in the church office or on the day of the event. All proceeds benefit community outreach projects. First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka on West Bridge Street will hold a Thanksgiving baked goods and casserole sale Nov. 27 starting at 12 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Let the sale help in preparations for Thanksgiving dinner. All proceeds will benefit Wetumpka’s 2014 Relay for Life.

 

•Community Fellowshippers meet at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church every third Wednesday at 11 a.m. The gathering includes a devotion, program, prizes and a covered dish luncheon. Local pastors and families are encouraged to attend.

 

Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a noon salad luncheon the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 334-567-4225 for more information.

 

First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka holds a fellowship lunch every third Sunday after worship.

 

•Celebrate Recovery, which deals with life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups, holds meetings every Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Santuck Baptist Church.

 

•Need a bus ride to church? Healing Waters Church of God in Eclectic offers bus rides to church for anyone who would like to attend, but does not have transportation. Call Steve Roberson at 334-252-1575 at least 24 hours in advance. Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (prayer), 10 a.m. (Sunday School), 11 a.m. (worship) and 6 p.m. (worship). Wednesday services are at 6 p.m. (prayer) and 7 p.m. (worship).

 

•Friendship Closet, a ministry of Friendship Baptist Church, is open the first Tuesday of each month from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Those who need clothes, shoes, etc. for women, men and children, may visit.

 

•Hope For Healing Grief Support Group meets the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church Tallassee.

 

•River’s Edge Flea Market is open every Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at East Tallassee United Methodist Church. All vendors welcome – new items, old items, crafts, youth groups, ball teams, baked goods, produce and food. Various booth costs available.
