Downtown Artists host show in Wetumpka

The streets of Wetumpka were covered in art Saturday as the Downtown Artists showcased their art.

It is all part of the late Don Sawyer’s vision to make downtown Wetumpka an art town on par with Memphis and New Orleans but on a smaller scale. Saturday saw more than a dozen of Sawyer’s friends and mentees set up their displays along Company Street.

Artists had stained glass, quilts, paintings and more available for sale.
