Many athletes from Wetumpka’s track and field team were recognized for their achievements on the 2025 All-State team by MileSplit.
Wetumpka put on a show at Tallassee’s 7-on-7 tournament last Tuesday. The tournament was the first time this summer that coach Bear Woods had his entire team of offensive starters, and it showed. The Indians went 7-0 on the day, winning the tournament.
This past weekend the Wetumpka 8U all-star softball team brought home a state championship at the USA Softball tournament. Coached by Josh Highland, the team has been competing in tournaments all summer and raking in the wins with a record of 25-2.

The Troy Ellis Foundation hosted its third annual youth football camp on Thursday at the Wetumpka Sports Complex football stadium. The event was hosted by Obed and Jennifer Ellis, the co-founders of the Troy Ellis Foundation, in partnership with coach Bear Woods and the Wetumpka football program.
